Minoring in Biology

The minor in biology requires completion of BIOL 115N-116N and at least 12 semester credit hours in departmental courses at the advanced level (300 and 400 level).

Students may complete a maximum of 3 credits at the 200-level out of the Biology major core courses (BIOL 291, 292 or 293), toward the required 12 credit hours for the minor.

For completion of a minor, a student must have a minimum grade point average of 2.00 in all courses taken toward the minor.

To Declare A Minor in Biology

Contact an advisor in MGB 236 to schedule an appointment to declare a minor in biology or with any questions regarding biology minor requirements.  You must first complete BIOL 115N-116N with grades of C or better and declare a major before you can declare a minor in biology.
